2025 was a big year for a little chilli brand with some very big ambitions.
Over the last month, I’ve taken some time to reflect on how far Burleigh Chilli Co. has come, and the thing that stands out most isn’t just growth… it’s how many people are now cooking, sharing and eating with our sauces.
From weeknight dinners, to BBQs with mates, to being passed around tables at restaurants and cafés, seeing our sauces become part of people’s everyday food is honestly the best part of this whole journey.
It Has Always Been About Flavour First
From day one, the goal has never been “make the hottest sauce possible”.
It’s always been about balance. Flavour first. Heat that belongs in the food, not sitting on top of it.
That means sauces you can actually use, not just once as a novelty, but every week. On eggs. On tacos. On grilled meats. On leftovers that need bringing back to life.
That philosophy hasn’t changed as we’ve grown. If anything, it’s become more important.
Small Batch Means We Obsess Over the Details
Every recipe we release gets tested, tweaked, and tasted more times than I could count.
We look at:

If it’s not something we’d happily use at home with our own family, it doesn’t get released.
2025 Was About Getting Into More Kitchens
Last year we saw more people discover Burleigh Chilli Co. than ever before. More bottles going home with families. More stockists backing us. More repeat customers coming back for their next bottle.
And one of the biggest highlights? Launching a new BBQ sauce that sold out in under two months. That kind of support still blows us away.
It tells us we’re heading in the right direction, making sauces people don’t just try once… they actually finish.
What This Means for 2026 (And Your Pantry)
Going into 2026, the focus is simple:
Make better sauces and more products.
Keep experimenting with new flavour combinations.
Stay true to the small batch, flavour-first approach.
Keep creating things you’ll actually reach for when you open the fridge.
There are some exciting things coming — new flavour ideas, new experiments, and a continued push into sauces that sit perfectly between everyday use and something a little bit special.
